2nd Annual Southside Day ATLANTA Recap: Yung Joc, Gunna’s Giveback & Aux Cord Wars Energy!
The 2nd Annual Southside Day lit up East Point City Hall with a mix of music, community pride, and culture you could feel in the air. Hosted by the charismatic Sherie, the celebration proved why it’s quickly becoming one of Atlanta’s must-attend community events. Watch the full Southside Day video recap to catch every highlight Di-VerZe captured on stage and behind the scenes.
Southside Mayors United on Stage
Atlanta’s Southside showed true strength in numbers as all mayors from the region stood shoulder-to-shoulder, creating a rare moment of unity. Their presence wasn’t just symbolic—it marked the Southside’s commitment to collaboration, growth, and bridging the gap between leadership and the streets.
Performances That Moved the Crowd
The stage showcased some of Atlanta’s finest, proving once again why the city remains the heartbeat of hip-hop. Catch the performance highlights here:
Yung Joc gave the crowd his classics and introduced his son Moni, passing the mic to the next wave of talent.
Mykko Montana shut down the crowd with his viral “Do It” anthem.
OJ Da Juiceman had fans rocking with “Whim Whammie” and more street classics. See his full set.
Derez Deshon, Fabo, Tootie, and others kept the momentum alive, track after track.
Gunna’s Big Donation & Community Impact
Even though Gunna wasn’t there physically, his heart was. His foundation came through heavy with book bags, tablets, shirts, and essentials for families in need. Add in surprise bill payments, free tech giveaways, and a vendor village highlighting Black-owned businesses, and Southside Day turned into more than an event—it became a movement.
Aux Cord Wars Brought the Fun
Aux Cord Wars came alive in front of the Southside crowd, with guest energy from Yung Joc and Ray Daniels. The live music game show blended competition, comedy, and culture, creating unforgettable moments. Watch the Aux Cord Wars clips and see why the audience couldn’t get enough.
